Ahh Daiso, you $2.80 beacon of happiness. If you don't know Daiso is a Japanese dollar store in which almost everything is priced at $2.80 (at least in Australia, I know it costs different amounts in different countries). It can sell some really quality stuff (also some really odd stuff) and I love going there whenever I can.
1) Detergent for Puff and Sponge
A bit of a cult favourite, I've been having trouble getting my hands on some since it usually sells out so quickly. I love this stuff so much I bought two back up bottles of it (even though I already had one opened at home!). I think I'll be using this more frequently now since I just bought a beauty blender and I've been trying to make sure I keep it clean. I prefer this for deep cleansing my brushes, otherwise I use the Daiso Makeup Brush Cleanser instead.
2) Scrubbing Board
This remind you of anything in particular? While there is a bit of controversy about whether this version or the brush egg came first, I couldn't pass up the chance to try it out to wash my brushes. I'll do a much more in depth review on this in my upcoming post on how I wash my brushes.
3) Camera Tripod
This is a mini pocket tripod that I bought for me to carry around on the go. It's small enough to fit into my camera bag alongside my camera and it's fairly stable as well. It's just a simple screw mechanism that attaches it to the camera. You can't extend it so you'll need to set it on top of objects to change it's height. However for $2.80 I really can't complain as it is both convenient and stable.
4) Bookend
Just a bookend, nothing particularly noteworthy about it. I'm using it to help organise my locker for the coming year. I learnt my lesson last year (all my books just ended up in a heap) and I'm hoping this will help me avoid that.
5) Plastic Organiser
Also for my locker. I'll be putting this in the upper compartment to organise some of my smaller items that just sort of float around my locker.
6) Collectibles Holder
Just a clear acrylic holder. This was a bit of an impulse purchase for though I'm sure I can find something to store inside it. It's of good quality with the plastic being decently thick with solid construction.
7) Silicon Face Scrubber
Doesn't this remind you a little bit of the Foreo Luna? I know Sephora also sells an exact copy of this for $6. So far it's working quite well, it's a very gentle exfoliation and it hasn't hurt to use it. I've been wanting to introduce some different physical exfoliation into my skincare routine, especially as I'm aiming to phase out any products I have with microbeads in them. This has worked well for that purpose so far though I'll have to update you guys on this later to see how it continues to work.
8) Binder Reinforcements
Bought both for their actual purpose and as guides for french manicures. $2.80 for 200 isn't a bad deal at all!
So that brings to a conclusion everything I got on my most recent trip to Daiso. Tell me, what are your favourite things to get from there? Is there anything I bought you want to see in action?
